When it comes to customer service, Blackpool Airport is flying his above the competition.
In a recent survey carried out by consumer magazine "Which? Holiday", Blackpool Airport received a passenger satisfaction score of 80%, with travellers impressed by the short waiting time and food on offer at the airport.
A spokesman for the airport said that Blackpool invests a great deal of time in training its staff to ensure that those taking holidays are well looked after.
However, some of the country's larger airports did not fare quite so well, with Heathrow's Terminal 1 being named as the worst place in the UK to catch a flight.
